Recognized as one of the most highly attended and well-respected art fairs in southeastern Wisconsin, the Walk in the Woods Art Fair draws thousands of visitors each year to Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary & Arboretum. This signature event offers sponsors meaningful visibility within a loyal, engaged audience that values art, nature, and community. More than 70 accomplished artists showcase their work along Hawthorn Hollow’s scenic woodland trails and gardens, featuring fine art in many forms, jewelry, painting, photography, wood sculpture, glass, and garden art. Guests enjoy live entertainment throughout the day, family-friendly activities like face painting, food and beverages, and a popular silent auction. Walk in the Woods is more than an art fair, it’s a destination experience where creativity, music, and nature come together, offering sponsors a unique opportunity to connect with a diverse and enthusiastic audience in a truly memorable setting.

Our Story

Hawthorn Hollow grew out of love for the land. As a nature sanctuary and arboretum, Hawthorn Hollow has been connecting people and nature through environmental education for more than 50 years. Walking trails invite visitors to explore a 12-acre arboretum, the woodlands of the Pike River Valley, prairies, gardens, and historic buildings of Somers’ past.

Hawthorn Hollow is owned and operated by the Hyslop Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501 c3 organization formed in 1964.
